DESCRIPTION:The period of 12-18 MAY 2013 will be celebrated as Armed Forces Week. Civilians in Central Kentucky are invited to join the Bluegrass Military Affairs Coalition (BMAC) to celebrate the unity and common purposes of the United States Armed Forces, and to honor dedicated American men and women in uniform who serve selflessly to preserve democracy and freedom at home and around the world in times of war and peace.\nArmed Forces Week is an annual public education event by the Bluegrass Military Affairs Coalition to increase public awareness about the United States Armed Forces and to express appreciation to the men and women currently in defense of the U.S. Constitution, against all enemies foreign and domestic, and to support the American way of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.\nAnywhere in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, if your business, civic, military support or Veterans service organization wants to inquire about hosting or sponsoring an event during the designated week, contact BMAC ( mailto:info@bmaconline.org?subject=Armed%20Forces%20Week%20Event ).\nDuring the 2013 Armed Forces Week, BMAC will host several events to recognize men and women serving in the U.S. Armed Forces:\nLexington Legends Baseball Game (BMAC Community Night)\nTickets for game available through BMAC\nProceeds from tickets distributed through BMAC and Jersey Raffle during game will benefit BMAC KY Wounded Warriors Program\nSAT 11 MAY 2013\n2013 KY Wounded Warriors Motorcycle Run and Chizel Concert\nProceds from ride will benefit BMAC KY Wounded Warriors Program\nSAT 11 MAY 2013\nRotary Club Of Lexington Meeting\nTHU 16 MAY 2013\n2013 Armed Forces Day Awards Dinner\nSAT 18 MAY 2013\n
