The primary purpose of BMAC is education about the U.S. Armed Forces and its veterans.

The BMAC goal is to be a resource of military and veterans speakers and audio/visual presentations to be used in classrooms and larger assemblies of students by educators in schools throughout our service area.

Through these activities and services BMAC hopes that many educators, counselors, parents and students will see the opportunities for higher education and rewarding careers in the U.S. Armed Forces. Funding for higher education is available for qualified students through scholarships in ROTC and the military academies. Many veterans service organizations offer educational assistance in the form of grants and scholarships.

BMAC wants to help young people to learn about the military and meet veterans through Junior ROTC, Young Marines and Sea Cadets programs.

Another goal is to be the presenter of military and veterans speakers at events throughout the area for our members and the general public. The citizens of this community need to know about the readiness of the US military in the defense of the country. Leaders of business, local government and news media need to be kept abreast of the economic impact of defense spending and jobs in our market. Additionally, the veterans and the public should know about the funding and services for veterans from federal and state officials.

Members of BMAC and their guests will have the opportunity, periodically, to take trips together to visit military installations, like Ft. Knox and Ft. Campbell in Kentucky, naval ports and ships at Norfolk, VA and Charleston, SC, air force bases like Wright-Patterson in Dayton, OH and The Pentagon in Washington, D.C. BMAC will host school teachers and career counselors so they can learn about the U.S. Armed Forces, "up close and personal."

As a coalition of military, veterans and business interests and organizations resources can be combined to accomplish BMAC goals.
